Bikinis & Burgers

Much better!

“WTF?” Lorraine looked the woman in the eye. “How do you know I’m not allergic?”

The woman blinked and smiled and then busied herself spraying other customers coming in the door.

She made her way to the swimsuit department and went up to the cashier who was texting someone on her cellphone. Lorraine read her name tag and then waited about seven minutes before saying, “Corina! Excuse me? I’d like to return this?”

I have convinced myself that this is what aging looks like. My current swimsuit has shorts! Much more manageable.

Same here, Violet. I don’t even have a swimsuit. I can’t even wear sleeveless or short sleeve shirts. I could, but I won’t. Ageing sucks.

I think this is why Neiman Marcus has focused on scaling back physical stores and in enhancing its digital sales. It recently closed its flagship Dallas store.

That’s good to know. Their salespeople really are snobs.

A Big Mac and fries can comfort a lot of things.

If only they would get rid of the special sauce, aka Thousand Island dressing.

You can order a Big Mac without the special sauce at McDonald’s.  They allow you to customize your order by removing or adding ingredients, including the sauce.

I didn’t know that. I thought McD’s was “have it their way.” But then, I haven’t eaten fast food for several years. Thanks, Jim!
