Lydia was so excited she could barely stay in her seat. This was it, the day she would finally meet the man of her dreams.
Lydia and Marcus met on a dating app a year or so ago. After countless emails, texts, and phone calls they found themselves in love, or at least falling helplessly toward it.
After a seven-hour ride, the train finally pulled into the station. She freshened up her lipstick and ate another breath mint.
Lydia exited the train and anxiously looked around for Marcus.
Maybe he’s in the restroom.
So, she waited.
And waited.
For nothing.
