Beluga Whale

Bon Appetit!

Beluga Caviar:

A delicacy like no other to some.

To me, a mouthful of slimy salt

mixed with hardboiled egg,

a cracker and

a perpetual aftertaste.

It would’ve been better to let the eggs hatch

And become baby whales.

Written for Sammies Weekend Writing Prompt #419.

    I have honestly only ever even seen caviar once and I was serving it and have never eaten it. After this description I doubt I ever will. Did you change your blog name?

      Caviar can either be delicious or disgusting. I was serving it too, but curiosity got the better of me and so I snuck some.
      Yes, I did. It was time for a change, I decided. It’s an almost-palindrome. My mom used to refer to my late sis-in-law as an ogre. Then I realized ergo is ogre backward and thought what the heck. :-)
