It’s Heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille at the Mindlovemisery’s Menagerie. Today’s prompt is “hawk.”
Hawk circling above
spies tiny feline and swoops.

It’s Poetics Tuesday at the dVerse Poets Pub! This week’s prompt is harbinger.
the steamy glances
shooting over the top
of your menu with
Cupid’s arrow precision,
the way you look at me
and sigh like a slow summer waltz
watching my heart melt
like Belgian chocolate in the sun
with that curious half
smile on those (gotta be!) kissable lips.
And finally, my tummy flipping
and rolling with
infatuation-morphing-into-love:
that’s when I knew,
for certain,
a delicious heartbreak
was inevitable.

This week’s Haiku prompts at Ronovan Writes are the words magic and man.
Starry-eyed in love
I chose to perceive magic
but he’s just a man

One candle burning
monks deep in meditation
Buddha’s dimpled cheeks.
One candle burning
snow melts on Tibetan peaks
all is connected.
Monks deep in meditation
their stomachs growling
No one notices.
Buddha’s dimpled cheeks
his swollen tummy jiggles
a ticklish fellow
all is connected
in this cryptic microcosm
everyone calls home.
