Bubba sat in his ’68 Chevelle in the BFD Welding parking lot and reflected on the day’s events. Now that his two girlfriends know about one another, he was screwed. His boss was riled up too, considering the cat fight that broke out when the two women saw each other. “Take it outside, take it outside!” He kept yelling. They ignored him and kept it inside. Bubba smiled to himself. It was sorta funny.

What the hell was I thinking? How could I be so stupid making a lunch date with both on the same day? It’s that dadgum fancy calendar is what it is. Two squares for one day, AM & PM, I reckon. Who wouldn’t be confused? They just don’t make simple calendars for simple people like they used to.

Bubba lit up a Camel straight and took a long drag. Hell, now I gotta decide between Yvonne and Delores. Delores and Yvonne. Dang, I dunno!

He cracked open a longneck PBR from the cooler in his back seat and took a long swig. BURRRRRPPP!!!

What to do, what to do? Bubba flicked his cigarette butt out the window as his cell phone rang.

Lord, now what? “Hello?”

“O’ course, I remember you, Rhonda! How you been, baby?”
