Your final three words this week are:
PRISM
PYRAMID
UNIT
Abdul had grown tired of his pyramid unit. It was losing its shape due to sandstorms and other weather events, and now, it resembled more of a trapezoid than a pyramid. This would not do.
So, Abdul got on the horn with his realtor, Wang Chung, and asked him about new properties in the area. They made arrangements to look at a few places that afternoon.
At 1:30, Wang Chung pulled up to Abdul’s unit. He was waiting for Wang on the curb and jumped in before Wang had a chance to get out and open the door for him.
“You find some good places for us to see?”
“I was able to find a few, Abdul.” Wang Chung replied. “Prices have gone up, though. I hope you are prepared to pay —”
“Money is not an issue,” Abdul interrupted. “You should know that by now.”
“Indeed, sir.”
Kiss my ass, sir! The poopy prince must have his knickers in a twist today.
“Hey, what’s that hanging from your rearview mirror?”
“This? It’s a prism.” Wang Chung replied.” “Don’t stare at it too long or you will become hypnotized.”
“Really?” Abdul questioned. “Then how smart is it for you to have one in your car? Aren’t you afraid of becoming hypnotized while driving?”
“Not particularly.” Wang Chung shrugged. “My car is equipped with airbags. And my brakes are good. See?”
Wang Chung slammed on the brakes as they were exiting the off ramp. The cars behind them screeched their tires and honked their horns wildly. If Abdul hadn’t had his seat belt on, his head would have smacked the windshield.
“Man, are you crazy?” Abdul shouted. “You could’ve killed us!”
“Yes, I know.” Wang Chung smiled. “I could have. Very easily. But I didn’t.” Wang Chung accelerated and began driving normally. “That will come later.”
“What? What do you mean?” Abdul was frightened. Before Wang Chung could answer, Abdul said, “Never mind. Just leave me off here. Pull over anywhere. Just let me out.” He had his hand on the door handle, ready to jump.
Wang Chung pushed a couple of buttons that locked all the doors and windows.
“That won’t be necessary.” Wang Chung replied. “Just relax and enjoy the ride. You never know when it might be over.”
