  1. Same here in that I don’t like hearing all the awful things. Plus we never know if anything is true or not, I suspect not, or at least exaggerated or out of context maybe. I do like to keep up with local weather, as we are always dodging tornadoes. :)

    1. Same here. Flash floods and tornados. Then in August we’ll slip into hurricane season. I live in Birmingham, AL, at the moment. I’m still hoping for an escape, but chances are getting slimmer and slimmer.

  2. I do not have a TV so I am spared the news as such. I look at headlines and get more in depth on the subjects that mean something to me.

  3. A wonderful idea, to shoot the TV. I’m sure the world was a much nicer place when news took days or weeks to arrive and wasn’t on constant repeat.

  4. Wow! Our situations are identical. I’ve learned to “tune out” the TV noise. My husband has ADHD and his channel surfing on every commercial would drive me mad if I tried to follow it. ;-)

    1. Wow. I’m sorry you have to deal with it, but I’m glad I’m not alone. Maybe we should form a support group.

  5. Love the idea of shooting the TV, but we don’t have one. The only time I listen to the radio is in the car, but usually because Hubby wants to catch the news which at midday is the same as 6am. I check out the headlines on my computer or read them on the newspaper stand in the supermarket if something catches my eye I think I should know about..

  6. Thanks for sharing Susan. Watching news from war torn ares is just heartbreaking.
