This year they decided to hold the Renaissance Festival on the beach. Fred was a newbie but had been practicing his fencing moves all week. His goal was to be a formidable opponent for his partner Dave, who had more experience with swords and jousting.

Saturday, he arrived at the beach with time to spare. Fred’s nervousness quickly turned to annoyance when Dave didn’t show up. An hour later came a text telling Fred that something had come up and Dave couldn’t make it.

Fred tossed his cell phone against a rock, removed his gear and went skinny dipping instead.

Nothing like a good dip in the sea on a hot day.

Oh dear. Well he wasn’t worth it. Good plan to enjoy the water but sheesh all that training wasted. Nicely written

Whatcha think?
