Cruel Eclipse

It’s Open Link Night at the dVerse Poets Pub!

Star-crossed and in perpetual orbit:

the Moon circling

the Earth circling

the Sun—your heart

beating

the rhythm of my soul.

Enter

the cruel eclipse:

spouses,

children!

(yours, mine

never ours).

Still,

this relentless and

unchangeable love,

our secret conflagration,

longs to burn

out loud.

  4. The way you combine the cruel with eclipse make me think of the way the light of a love can be murdered by shadows.

    1. I like that a lot, Bjorn. The light of a love being murdered by shadows. It certainly can happen! Thank you for sharing your insights! :-)
